School is ending, so that means MUMC's Wednesday evening Children's gathering comes to a close . Each year the neighbor's across the street from our Church allows us to have a cook out and swim party to end on an extra fun note. The kids look forward to this special time...and so do we. It's a time we aren't shut in but able to enjoy the outdoors.
This year the Lord saw fit to cool the air down and it was jacket wearing time once again...but did it stop those children from swimming...NOT ON YOUR LIFE!

They jumped......

played chicken.....

rested....

Our Pastor even did a little power lifting....

played tugboat....

tried their hand (or feet I should say) at surfing.....

even cared enough to make sure their friends were baptized...

after they felt they were filled with the Holy Spirit, they moved on to be filled with hamburgers, chips and drinks.

We have been blessed with a wonderful leader to keep things organized, especially in preparing the meals every Wednesday night so some provided her with love smacks in the arm..... but in all seriousness, Barbie has held this Wednesday Children's gathering together for many years. She has been so faithful in preparing the meals to feed the Children supper before class time. If anyone has a heart for children, it's Barbie.

After everyone was fed, even the neighbor's dog, and watered...

all the wet heads & cold bodies were wrapped up and dried off as the tired little bodies slowly left the scene of the fun....but with them they carried more memories for the photo box in their hearts and mind.

Our arms are outstretched to You, Lord...

for another evening of Christian fellowship with our children.

We give YOU all the PRAISE AND GLORY for another great year of Wednesday night togetherness! THANK YOU for all those that pitched in to help out in whatever capacity they could....THANK YOU SO MUCH for the Children that were able to come and learn more about you. THANK YOU for a country in which we still have the freedom to do so.

HAVE A FUN FILLED DAY IN CHRIST!
