YOU GOTTA LOVE IT! This is a picture of Harold's feet. Why his feet? A simple picture with a loving story of a father.
Yesterday Harold and I were in Brookhaven the latter part of the morning until the afternoon with a Dr.'s visit. Madge had a soccer game at 4 and that is when we were pulling up to get her. I grabbed the things we had shopped for and stayed home to recoup while he ran Madge and JoBea to the game. After the soccer game Harold took JoBea, Madge and a friend back to Brookhaven to shop for pageant dresses. They had an appt. about 5:30 or 6. He sat for hours, patiently waiting for them to try on EVERY dress in the store. They ask his opinion, he gave it. He kept quiet otherwise, watching the girls enjoy themselves dressing up in dresses they only get to put on once a year. Dresses, jewelry, high heel shoes.....some very large crowns were put on their heads out of fun...providing much laughter.
The girls carried my camera along with them because the school is making them have the dresses approved this year, so being in charge of the camera Harold decided ,in his boredom, to take a picture of his feet. The same feet that came to me and asked me out, the same one's that stood in marriage, was there for the girls birth, their baptism's, pageants, ball games, boyfriends, and hold him up at work to provide for us. Just as he has loving hands, heart and arms, his feet have walked him to the places to share the love he has for his family and gotten him to Church where he continues to plant them in keeping his foundation in Christ strong. Harold works offshore (as we speak he just received a call he will be going overseas again...I'll write about that later) and can't be here all the time, but the girls know when he is home, HE IS HOME and when he is gone their daddy still loves them. I'm thankful for the time both girls and Harold have alone together and know that their feet will also follow his as they grow up.
I PRAISE GOD for the feet of my husband and how they have "stood" for our family.
Have a WONDERFUL day in Christ and think of the feet that are standing for and with you today.....
